You've found something from a brand you've never bought from. Alate tells you which of their sizes to order and how it's likely to sit on you, using the brand's own size chart wherever it can.

How it works
There are eleven questions about which sizes you shop, your height, and the shape of your shoulders, arms, bust, torso, legs, waist, tummy, hips and thighs. You answer by tapping, so you won't need a tape measure or an account.

Share a product from the store's app or website, or paste the link. You can also just copy it and open Alate, which will notice the link and show you the product's name. Share links from a brand's own app work too.

You get the size that's likely to fit, in that brand's sizes, along with how sure Alate is and why. Below that it goes through each part of your body, then covers the fabric, stock and price.
all before you've paid for anything
Some shops take a while to load. Alate keeps trying in the background for up to six hours and lets you know in the app once your fit check is ready.

The fit card
Each line on the card comes from somewhere you can check, like the brand's size chart, the product page or what other buyers told us. The card says where.
If the brand sizes in numbers (EU 38, IT 42, UK 12) you'll see a number, and if it uses letters you'll see a letter. You order exactly what the card says.
Size to tryEach size comes with a word for how confident Alate is and the reason behind it. When the brand has no chart of its own and Alate falls back on a general one, the card says so and never calls that size sure.
ConfidenceWhere it sits close, where there's room, and anything to look out for. Each point gets its own line.
Works for youIf the store lists the model's height and size, Alate compares them with yours. A hem that sits at the model's knee might land mid-calf on you, and the card will tell you.
Model vs youAlate reads the product page to find out whether it's lined, knitted or woven, cut on the bias, and how much it stretches and drapes.
Fabric buildHow sheer it's likely to be, based on what buyers told us and a look at the store's product photo.
Sheer checkLines like "7 of 8 buyers say the sleeves run long". We only show these once at least five people have answered and most of them agree.
Length & sleevesYou can see which sizes are in stock. If yours has sold out, tap Notify and Alate will tell you in the app when it's back (and by email too if you're signed in). Brands can turn this off for pieces they won't restock.
Notify meSet a budget once and each card shows a $, $$ or $$$ chip, converted to your currency, so you know where a piece sits before you get attached.
$$If the brand doesn't make your size, the card says so. You can tap to let the brand know someone wanted it bigger or smaller. Your name isn't sent.
Outside the rangeHome
The best fits sit at the front, and the coat you looked at last month is still there on payday.
Each fit check is a card. Tap one to open the full details and swipe sideways to move between them. To delete one, swipe it up (there's an Undo if you change your mind).
If you change your answers, your older cards check themselves again the next time you open the app, starting with the newest.
When you buy something, mark it as bought and pick the size you ordered. Alate's suggestion is already selected. If you're signed in, your pieces move with your account.
Once it arrives, tell Alate whether it was too small, just right or too big, and where. We get those answers without your name, and they're what the "what buyers say" lines are built from.
You can sign in with Google if you want your profile, budget, last 50 fit checks and bought pieces on your other phones. If you don't, everything stays on this one.
Advanced, on request
You can ask for these in the app under Profile → Measurements. Once we've turned them on for your email address, they work on any phone signed in with that Google account.
Your data
Your body profile is kept on your phone. This is what else Alate uses, and where it goes.

Lots of online clothing stores, though not all of them yet. If a store isn't supported, tap "Notify me when added" on the card and we'll tell you when it is. A few stores have asked us not to read their pages or block automated reading, and for those Alate just sends you to the store.
No. It's the size most likely to fit you, and the card tells you how sure Alate is and why. A size worked out from the brand's own chart is more reliable than one from a general chart, and you'll see which was used.
Because that's how the brand labels its sizes. Alate uses the brand's own sizes so you can order exactly what the card says.
No, fit checks work without one. Signing in with Google lets you use your profile on more than one phone, and you'll need it for Advanced features.
Not yet. For now Alate only sizes clothing.
